Welcome Message

From the Host

Despite remarkable progress in shoulder surgery over the past decades, significant challenges remain. Complex pathologies, evolving surgical indications, and variability in clinical outcomes continue to demand thoughtful judgment and scientific rigor from shoulder surgeons worldwide.

As we gather in Yeosu—a city where tradition meets innovation and the sea symbolizes both depth and possibility—we take this opportunity to confront some of the most demanding challenges in our field, particularly irreparable rotator cuff tears accompanied by scapular dysfunction—conditions that continue to test the limits of current surgical strategies.

Through this course, we will critically examine demanding clinical scenarios, review the most current scientific evidence, and engage in open, evidence-based dialogue with respected experts. Our goal is not merely discussion, but advancement—refining our strategies and strengthening our commitment to delivering the highest standard of patient care.

Progress in medicine depends on intellectual curiosity, collaborative exchange, and the courage to reassess established paradigms. This meeting has been designed as a platform for meaningful debate, academic rigor, and shared growth.

It is my sincere hope that your time in Yeosu will be both scientifically rewarding and personally inspiring.

I look forward to welcoming you and advancing our field together.
